Friday Five – Good Books to Start the Journey

Not everyone can afford to take a year and go hike the Appalachian Trail or backpack across Europe.  There are plenty of ways to reflect and draw inspiration in your own surroundings, but it requires a concerted effort and dedicated time.   For many people, myself included, reading has always been a way to explore the world without leaving your house.

Here are a few books I’ve read recently that helped me progress along my own path.   I found each of them inspiring in their own way and hope you will too.

Tim Ferriss – 4 Hour Workweek

Stewart Friedman – Total Leadership:  Be a Better Leader, Have a Richer Life

Marc Freedman – The Big Shift

Malcolm Gladwell – Outliers

Gretchen Rubin – The Happiness Project

If you’ve read these – I’d love to hear your thoughts.  And let me know what other books you’ve read that you’d recommend to others along a similar journey.
